SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- The power is back on for thousands in San Francisco's Marina and Presidio neighborhoods.
5,400 customers were left in the dark Sunday night, but as of Monday morning, the PG&E outage map is clear.
PG&E says the outage started just after 9 p.m., and the Marina Safeway was forced to close early.
ABC7 Eyewitness News spoke with some residents dealing with the outage.
"We have an electronic keypad, unfortunately, so we are unable to get into our apartment right now. Umm, but hopefully it turns on soon," Olivia Twomey said.
"Traffic lights were all off. And then all the apartments near us are off. The Safeway here is off. We kinda hear people, everyone is out on their balconies looking out," Robert O'Brien said.
We reached out to PG&E to find out what caused the outage, but we have not heard back.
